How it Works
Spectra Cloud provides the customer with a hosted high availability firewall solution with redundancy and automatic failover to a hot standby unit in the event of hardware failure. Based on the customer’s corporate security policies, the Hosted Firewall filters inbound and outbound network traffic by implementing a series of rules that allow or deny traffic to pass through the network.
Spectra Cloud Hosted Firewall can provide optional real-time protection against virus, worms, adware and spyware from both inbound and outbound traffic. We provide predictive defences and complementary responsive techniques to stop these threats when they emerge on the Internet.
The firewall can be configured to deny Internet access to certain network segments or require authorisation before allowing access. Additionally the content filtering option can be used to control categories of websites employees are allowed to access, preventing time-wasting and preventing downloading of inappropriate content as part of a company’s Internet usage policy.
The remote access option for the service includes client software to allow remote employees to access information behind the firewall securely.
